Palma Sola Botanical Park

The Park began in 1990 when a group of interested citizens and community groups rallied support to save the 10-acre site in northwest Bradenton that has once been the Manatee County Nursery. The Foundation was incorporated in 1993 as a non-profit organization, created to preserve the former nursery as a valuable green space and park.

Mission Statement
The mission of the Palma Sola Botanical Park Foundation is to serve as a unique community resource dedicated to providing an interactive learning environment that fosters an appreciation of nature and landscaping, preserves our natural resources and promotes environmental education.

Nonprofit Foundation
The Palma Sola Botanical Park Foundation, a nonprofit 501 (c)(3) corporation, was created in 1993 to preserve the former nursery as a valuable green space and park. In October 1996, the Foundation entered into a long-term agreement with Manatee County Government to establish the Palma Sola Botanical Park .

Join The Palma Sola Botanical Park Foundation
The Foundation and Manatee County are working in partnership to develop the park which provides our community with a unique opportunity to enjoy educational programs, passive recreation and public events in the midst of ten acres of natural beauty. The park now boasts of lush tranquil gardens, two lakes, the Galleria and Baden Buildings as well as a screen pavilion and a gazebo for us to enjoy.  Children can frolic in their own special area, complete with kid-size play equipment and special butterfly garden!  The Palma Sola Botanical Park needs Foundation members to continue to grow. Please join.

Please Consider Volunteering at the Park
You can choose to help by volunteering at one of our fund-raising events such as the annual Plant Sale or Garden Party. We can use your services in the office and on newsletters and membership, or actually working in the gardens. If you have a few hours to donate, please offer your special talents to the Palma Sola Botanical Park.
